What is Makers Takeover?

Makers Takeover is a multi-day maker-focused trade show featuring curated vendors, live demonstrations, stage programming, and optional hands-on classes. It is heavily-focused on learning new skills, networking with others in the crafting industry and building small business growth between our attendees, vendors and sponsors. 

What are the trade-show hours?

Friday 9am to 5pm (early bird VIP opens at 8am)

Saturday 9am to 6:30pm (early bird VIP opens at 8am)

Sunday 9am to 3pm 

What can I shop for at the trade show?

The trade show floor features a large variety of vendors offering  beautiful tumblers, resin art, jewelry, apparel, hats  and other  beautiful crafts. Of course there will be a multitude of glitter, pigments, foils, tools, tumbler making equipment, epoxy, and small-business supplies. Many vendors offer exclusive event-only deals and product launches.

Are there live demos or activities on the show floor?

Yes. Throughout the weekend, the main stage will host live demonstrations, vendor spotlights, interactive games, and some giveaways. No sign-up is required. It’s a great opportunity to sit down and take a break from shopping, a meeting spot to catch up with your friends or get involved with the interactive stage presence. 

Are classes included with my ticket?

No. Classes require a separate ticket.

What are the classes like?

Classes are hands-on, instructor-led workshops held in dedicated classroom spaces. Topics include various crafting projects, jewlery, painting on canvas, paint pouring, tumbler art techniques and even hat burning. All materials for participation (with the exception of PPE for expoxy art and IPads and digital pens for the digital art class) are provided with your ticket. Just come in sit down and create!

Is seating limited for classes?

Yes. Class seating is limited to approximately 30 students per class. Tickets are on a first-come, first-served basis once class tickets are released on the website.

Will the class schedule be available in advance?

Yes. A full class schedule will be posted prior to the tickets going on sale. 

Can I leave and re-enter the trade show?

Yes. All attendees with a General admission or VIP Experience pass will receive a badge and lanyard that allows re-entry during event hours.

Is the event suitable for beginners?

Absolutely. Makers Takeover is designed for all experience levels, from beginners to experienced professionals. We welcome anyone who is interested in creating art, or jut enjoys other peoples art!  Come one Come all!

Is Food allowed inside the trade-show? 

Food can be brought in from the casino restaurants on site and enjoyed within the trade-show. There is no alcohol permitted inside the trade-show or classrooms. 

Where can I find the latest updates about Makers Takeover 2026?

The Makers Lounge Facebook group is now active. This will be the fastest way to the latest information. We also have a facebook page, IG and YT page.  The MT Team also goes LIVE on TikTok often to keep all attendees informed and answer questions.

Will staff be available onsite?

Yes. Event staff and volunteers will be available throughout the venue to assist with directions, schedules, and general questions. All staff will be clearly identified.
